Introduction to Yoga
If you have always wanted to see what yoga has to offer, join us for a six week series to learn all about the basics. We will start from the feet and work our way up, learning about the poses as we move through them. Basic Yogic vocabulary will also be taught and used throughout the series.
Students will need to bring a yoga mat and wear loose, comfortable clothing. A willingness to learn and the ability to have fun is a plus! It is recommended that students not eat a heavy meal two hours prior to class. (If you have a medical condition like diabetes or hypoglycemia, you ought to consult your physician before abstaining from or altering your meals).
About the instructor: Amee Trecht has practiced yoga for 20 years, and has been teaching yoga for 10 years. She achieved her 500-hour teacher certification in 2018. An attentive and engaging instructor, Amee specializes in Hatha Yoga with an emphasis on alignment principles. She has taught students of all ages and skill levels and is proficient in modifying class content and poses for the individual student’s needs. Amee owns and operates a private yoga studio in Greenville, MI.
